Jacqueline Woodson
Jacqueline Woodson is an African American writer. She was born on February, 12th in Columbus and moved to Brooklyn about seven years ago and grew up there. She always reads the same books and she loves writting because it makes her happy.
She said : "Even when the words are slow in coming and the story seems all lopsided, writting keeps me happy".
She writes about her African American family history, particularly in her books visiting day, sweet sweet memory and show way. She uses scenes from her life tto write realistic fiction.
Her books are published in Italian, Dutch, French, Spanish, German, japanese, Mandarin and others....
She will stop writting when she stops breathing.
Her novel "My crazy beautiful world" it's the first time that I have read novel in english and thought that not clear of understand everything but however I like so much share her self portrait of chilhood. What makes stories like this one so fascinating is that she retrancsribe her dissimilarity, often painful, with others and her low self-esteem.
More, I think that her old, she is very mature because she speaking about when she was twelve in her novel.
Her stories touched me some subjects, for exemple, when she speak that classmates to tease and her relationship with her grandmother.
